Sewer Pipe Problems
Do you check your basement floor drain regularly? Do you have a shower drain in the basement? These drains are the lowest entry point for plumbing lines into your house. Water backing up at this drain is a sure sign you have a problem in your sewer line. Nothing ruins a day faster than a sewer line backing up into the house. Turn off your water and call Lower Plumbing, Heating, and Air right away. We will send a top-notch team member to evaluate and fix the problem. You’d be surprised how many tree roots we see that have broken through a pipe in a sewer system.
The evaluation process includes using an Augur to open the pipe. We then use a sewer camera to determine what is causing the problem and create a solution to solve it. Solutions may include replacing part of the sewer line. We also install new sewer lines. Lower can maintain and install all lines from the home to the septic. Lower has been servicing and maintaining sewer lines for 20 years.
A Sewer Back up can harm your flooring and walls
A backup can potentially threaten your basement floors, furniture, and drywall. Many homeowners don’t go into the basement regularly to check the drains that often. Lower recommends using a “water alarm” to alert you that your drain needs attention. There are several brands of water alarms. One brand will turn your water off at the start of any backup. Most are battery-operated and placed near the basement water heater and/or drain.
Lower will also conduct a drain inspection for homeowners selling or buying a home.
